It was the summer of 2002 and I was five months pregnant with our first child. Prior to this, I had assumed that finding stylish maternity clothes to buy will be just as easy as buying any other item from the British high street stores. How wrong I was!

I remember going out on a Saturday afternoon with the sole intention of changing my entire wardrobe, only to discover what every other young mum-to-be has sadly come to accept; the British high street shops do not provide for our clothing needs when we need it the most! Yes, they are fantastic when we are a cool size 8 or 10 with flat abs and sleek curves but as soon as we start to embark on that privileged journey to motherhood, they fail us blatantly. What a shame!!

Being pregnant is the most beautiful thing that can happen to any woman and the clothes we wear should also reflect the beauty within. This experience which ‘am sure most women can relate to, led to the conception of this website.
